Privacy Policy

ReelMitra ("we", "us") makes AI videos for you and posts them to your social accounts. This policy explains what information we collect, why, who we share it with, and the choices you have. By using ReelMitra you agree to this policy.

Information we collect

• Account details. When you sign in with Google or email, we receive your name, email address and a unique account ID.
• What you create. The series you set up (niche, writing style, voice, look, post time), topic ideas, and the stories, images, voiceovers, captions, titles and videos made for you.
• Plan and usage. Your plan, how many videos you have made, and billing status. Payments are handled by our payment provider; we do not store your card number.
• Connected accounts. If you connect Instagram or YouTube, we store the access token that lets us post to your account for you. We also read basic details of your account (such as account name and ID) to show which account is connected.
• Feedback you send. If you send feedback from the app or the website, we keep its kind, your rating, your message and up to three pictures you attach, so we can fix problems. Only the people who run ReelMitra read it.
• Notifications. If you allow notifications in the mobile app, we store a device token so we can tell you when something needs your attention, such as a post that could not be published or a long video that is finished. You can turn notifications off in your phone's settings at any time.
• Safety checks. The text you type and the stories, pictures and captions made for you are checked by automated safety checks (including OpenAI's moderation service) so that sexual, hateful or very violent content is blocked.
• Technical data. Basic logs such as time of request, device/browser type and errors, used to keep the service running and secure.

How we use it

• To create your videos and post them at the time you choose.
• To run your account, apply your plan limits and provide support.
• To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
• To improve ReelMitra. We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use your connected-account data for advertising.

Who we share it with

We use trusted service providers to run ReelMitra. They only receive what is needed to do their job:

• Google (Firebase) for sign-in, database and website hosting.
• OpenAI, to write stories and draw images from your series settings and topics.
• Sarvam AI, to turn the story text into a voiceover.
• Cloudflare, for network security and file storage.
• Meta (Instagram) and Google (YouTube), only when you connect an account, to publish your videos there.
• Our payment provider, to process payments.

We may also disclose information if the law requires it.

Google and YouTube data

ReelMitra uses YouTube API Services. ReelMitra's use and transfer to any other app of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

What we access, only after you press Connect YouTube and allow it on Google's permission screen:

• Upload videos (youtube.upload). We upload to your own channel the videos you approved or scheduled in ReelMitra, with the title, description, tags and thumbnail you see there. We do not edit or delete videos that are already on your channel.
• Read your channel name and ID (youtube.readonly). We read them once when you connect, to show you which channel is linked. We do not read your other videos, subscribers, analytics or comments.

What we store: the access token that Google gives us, and your channel name and ID. We use them only to provide the upload feature. We do not sell them, share them with others (except the service providers listed above, to run ReelMitra) or use them for advertising.

Your control: you can remove our access at any time, in ReelMitra (Series, Accounts, Disconnect), which deletes the stored token, or on Google at myaccount.google.com/permissions (also reachable through Google security settings). If you remove access on Google, the stored token stops working; you can delete it by pressing Disconnect or by asking us to delete your data (see Data Deletion). Videos already published on your channel stay there until you delete them yourself.

By using ReelMitra's YouTube features you also agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of your data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

Instagram data

When you connect an Instagram professional account to a series (Instagram Login), ReelMitra asks Meta for two permissions only:

• instagram_business_basic: to read your Instagram account ID, username and account type, so we can show which account is connected and post to the right one.
• instagram_business_content_publish: to publish the Reels that your own series made, at the post time you set.

We store the account ID, the username and the access token Meta gives us, and refresh the token so posting keeps working. We do not read your messages, comments, followers, likes or insights, we never post anything you did not create in ReelMitra, and we never sell or share this data or use it for advertising. You can remove our access at any time: in ReelMitra (Series, Accounts, Disconnect), or in Instagram (Settings, Apps and websites, remove ReelMitra). When you disconnect, or Meta tells us that you removed the app, we delete the stored token. You can also ask us to delete all your data, see Data Deletion.

How long we keep it

We keep your information while your account is active. When you ask us to delete your account, we delete your account data, connected-account tokens and videos, except what we must keep for legal or billing reasons. See how to delete your data.

Security

Your data is stored with Google Firebase and our storage provider, and is only accessible to you and the people who run ReelMitra. Connection to the service is encrypted (HTTPS). No system is perfectly secure, so please keep your sign-in safe.

Your choices

• View or update your details in your account.
• Disconnect Instagram or YouTube at any time.
• Ask us to delete your account and data.
• Ask us for a copy of the information we hold about you.

Children

ReelMitra is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top shows when it last changed. If we make an important change, we will tell you on the website or by email.
